Roger Fischer
Board Member
As founder and former CEO of healthcare specialist agency FischerHealth, Roger offers critical business insight to agency principals. He draws upon nearly three decades as a public relations business owner to advise agency principals seeking to realize the value in their firms and pursue their plans for the future.
He started his own public relations agency business in 1983, making the conscious decision to focus the firm exclusively on healthcare in 1994. Under his leadership, FischerHealth grew into one of the most successful public relations firms in the category, being named “Healthcare PR Firm of the Year” and “Creative Agency of the Year” by the distinguished Holmes Report. In 2003, Roger orchestrated the sale of FischerHealth to Omnicom in order to provide the agency’s clients greater depth of services and international reach. Roger left the firm when the full integration with Omnicom’s Porter Novelli business unit was completed in 2007.
Respected for his ability to provide strategic counsel during times of transition, Roger has played a key role in helping organizations manage the communication issues associated with mergers and acquisitions, reorganizations, IPOs, and other significant milestone events. He has enabled business leaders to gain access to influencers who can affect their success and served as a valuable sounding board on subjects ranging from crisis management and exit strategies to positioning, branding and reputation management.
Roger has served as a faculty member for the Sedona Roundtable, an exclusive annual event for agency principals and owners hosted by Management Strategies. He holds a BA in marketing from University of California, Santa Barbara. He is based in Los Angeles.
